Oh Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go!

This is my heart speaking....

Oh! The feeling of longing to reach out and touch someone with a gesture of love and tenderness... Oh the ache in your heart when you know you must refrain!  Love is such a wonderful thing yet it comes with much pain and waiting and longing! Yet in the end, perfect bliss is worth it all!

Many tears are shed and many earnest prayers sent during the time of not knowing whether or not the love in your heart is returned by the one you love. The little windows that give you hope you are afraid to trust. In vain the beating of your heart you try to calm... Oh that you could just know! Yet you must obey that terribly frightening word-Wait.

All during this time you are afraid to let your heart love because you are afraid it will be unrequited. You are afraid of that pain! Despite everything you do, it cannot be helped! The feeling of love swept over you unnoticed until something brought it to your attention. It still grows stronger yet you are afraid to admit it.

The Princess Hut

This is My place. I couldnt get a good picture but this will have to do. This is where the idea for this blog hit me. This is where i go to be alone. Where i go for peace. My thinking spot. Where i go to cry and laugh. Where i go to write. This is my Secret Spot.

During the past few weeks, i have been out there every day. My life is full of ups and downs right now. This year has been a momentous year in my life. Our church has been going through a lot of difficulties and I have gone through some personal struggles But there have also been some wonderful things happening!

Our church has gone through 2 deaths exactly 4 weeks to the day from each other, two funerals, and Another difficulty which i will not name... My personal struggles include family problems, relationship struggles and trying to find out who I really am.

Some of the wonderful things that have happened to me is This summer I have spent more time with my friends than probably the 9 years i have been coming to this church! We have become like family. We detaselled together so I got to see them in their not-so-sane moments and This whole summer has been a blast! We have been rollerblading around a trail in town like twice a week and yesterday, we were crazy enough to do it even though it was under 50 degrees! Ahhhhh.... I LOVE being crazy togehter!!!!!!!!

Today, I get to spend time with friends as well and i am really superly awesomely looking forward to it!

Favorite Bible chapters

Romans 12:1-21
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.  For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.  Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;  Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.  Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Proverbs 31:10-31
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.  She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.  She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.  She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.  She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.  Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.

How to become A child of the King of Kings!

Recently in my daily devotions reading the Bible, I came across a passage in Romans out of which several parts spoke to me heart.

Romans 10:8-15

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Because I am not ashamed of my savior and his sacrifice on calvarys cross, I dedicate this blog to His Glory and pray I may reach out to someone that they may come to Christ because of this work. Because This is His ministry through me, I must start with introducing you to Him.

These verses are very key verses to help understand salvation. Verse 9 shows step by step what is required.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

First of all we must we must confess that we believe the gospel of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you... By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

We must also confess that we are a sinner and acknowledge the fact that we need a savior! And that is Jesus Christ.

To confess this, you must have a genuine belief in it. Deep down in your heart, you must know.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

When you believe this in your heart, you must then confess to God and ask Him to save you and make you clean.

You may say, “How do you know God would accept me? You don’t know how I have lived my life...”

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

God said whosoever. Not those who have done mostly good. Not those who haven’t committed a crime. He said WHOSOEVER! And that includes me and you and every human being. No exclusions! NONE!

If you want to hear more I found a website that may help. It has many tracts with testimonies of those who have come to Christ and other topics. It also has a lot of Bible Studies.

Praise to the KING of Kings and LORD of Lords!
Psalms 24:7-10
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
