Recently
in my daily devotions reading the Bible, I came across a passage in Romans out
of which several parts spoke to me heart.
Romans 10:8-15
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in
thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation. For the scripture
saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no
difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then
shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they
believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a
preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that
preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Because
I am not ashamed of my savior and his sacrifice on calvarys cross, I dedicate
this blog to His Glory and pray I may reach out to someone that they may come
to Christ because of this work. Because This is His ministry through me, I must
start with introducing you to Him.
These
verses are very key verses to help understand salvation. Verse 9 shows step by
step what is required.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
First
of all we must we must confess that we believe the gospel of Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you... By which
also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye
have believed in vain. For I delivered
unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was
buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
We
must also confess that we are a sinner and acknowledge the fact that we need a
savior! And that is Jesus Christ.
To
confess this, you must have a genuine belief in it. Deep down in your heart,
you must know.
“For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”
When
you believe this in your heart, you must then confess to God and ask Him to
save you and make you clean.
You
may say, “How do you know God would accept me? You don’t know how I have lived
my life...”
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of
the Lord shall be saved.”
God
said whosoever. Not those who have done mostly good. Not those who haven’t committed
a crime. He said WHOSOEVER! And that includes me and you and every human being.
No exclusions! NONE!
If
you want to hear more I found a website that may help. It has many tracts with
testimonies of those who have come to Christ and other topics. It also has a
lot of Bible Studies.
Praise to the KING of Kings and LORD of Lords!
